Its always exciting to see a Cougar featured in the media. Cougars rarely get the press they deserve. Its even more exciting when it is a Cougar with which we're all familiar. If you saw the Scottsdale Barrett Jackson auction this week on television you were treated to one of these rare media events. Dr. Joe Valenti's Cougar took center stage in a commercial for Hagerty Insurance.
The Lone Star Cougar Club, was contacted by the production company for Hagerty Insurance. They had an idea for a commercial concept and were looking for a Cougar convertible to use. Dr. Joe's red 69 was perfect for the job. The car was taken to a ranch outside of Austin for a long day of filming. After 10 hours of work in the wind and dust they had the footage needed for their commercial.
The Hagerty commercial first aired during the 2009 BJ auction. Congratulations to out to Dr. Joe. The commercial brought some well deserved exposure to the Mercury Cougar.
